From Russia with Love

San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) December 5, 2008 -- Vladislav Frenk AKA Al'vek has released two new albums, "Moonrise in the Trees" and "Histories" -- both are refreshing and captivating works of art. Al'vek is known for his first music project in California in 2001, forming a San Francisco based band named, "Relic". Relic's two album project was categorized as Progressive British Art Rock with the concept of bringing the listeners a spirit of antiquity. Stories and legends of people who lived as Kings and Knights, about huge victories and terrible losses in battles, soldiers, sailors and gypsies throughout the centuries whose lives were in danger, about the sin of human souls trying to find a way out to find a Savior in order to be saved.

Starting his own solo studio recording project in 2006, Al'vek says, "I wanted to compose a non traditional classical album. 'Moonrise In The Trees' gives birth to my love of classical music. With some very sentimental moods I combined soft piano and birds singing, trumpets and violins with enticing sounds above an ocean breeze, the flutes, oboe and harp with soft whispers of the night and of course, magic guitar sounds through the wind in the trees".

In 2007 he came back to his unfinished conception of his child from the Relic Band and recorded "Histories" with all new musicians. This album and his next to be released in 2009 titled, "Voyage of Maelduin-Lutey of Cury" could be categorized as symphonic progressive art rock .

"Tomorrow is Yesterday's history and art will still be there even if our lives are terminated". -- Keith Emerson

Some music critics refer to Al'vek's music genre as, "Medieval Art Rock", which is quite fitting as the members of Relic were dressed as knights in full armor onstage when performing. The Relic band toured throughout the California Coast and Las Vegas and have become very popular in Europe.
